At Elite Airtight Envelopes we generally work for higher-end custom residential builders in Vancouver and surrounding municipalities and provide knowledge, service, and workmanship that is by far the best in the business. This focus on quality has made us extremely sought after as building envelope codes change to become much more difficult and include mandatory Step Code efficiencies and air-tightness targets that lesser companies struggle to meet. Our stable of loyal builders keeps expanding in size as we become more known through word-of-mouth advertising and exposure through BC Housing training videos we have been involved with creating.

Our current employees are excited and motivated to work in this climate of excellence and We strive to provide a level of support that ensures success without too much stress. Our workload has shifted greatly towards high-tech “Gortex” level membranes and acrylic high-performance tapes that require attention to detail. Employees in our company are not insulation installers but instead air-tight building envelope specialists. In short, successful candidates will be proud to help us meet difficult targets with ease and grow with a prestigious company in a rapidly expanding industry.

Roof & Ceiling Assemblies

Detailed with batt insulation and air/vapour barriers with the highest attention to detail since these are sensitive areas that need to be especially as air-tight as possible. Alternately, spray foam can be used to create an unvented assembly here if desired and allowed by the district.

Wood-Frame Walls

Rockwool or fibreglass insulations typically fill voids in exterior walls and are completed with meticulously detailed vapour-control layers and air-barriers. We are experts at achieving a “Grade 1 Energy Star Installs” which means the thermal layers are installed with very little voids, gaps, or unnecessary compression. Spray foam is sometimes used here as well.

Concrete Walls

Rigid insulation and/or batt insulations and air/vapour barriers are often used in combination to achieve a well-sealed exterior foundation without problems with condensation and wet wall assemblies common in the past. Spray foam can also be used here.
